The process that is followed by the US government whereby the Senate gives "Advice and Consent" to a presidential nomination for an executive or judicial position.  Confirmation by the Senate allows the President to formally appoint the candidate to the court.
上院(じょういん)が行政(ぎょうせい)または司法(しほう)の地位(ちい)のための大統領(だいとうりょう)指名(しめい)に「助言(じょげん)と同意(どうい)」を与(あた)える米国(べいこく)政府(せいふ)が従(したが)うプロセス。上院(じょういん)による承認(しょうにん)により、大統領(だいとうりょう)は正式(せいしき)に候補(こうほ)者(しゃ)を法廷(ほうてい)に任命(にんめい)することができます。
